Prophecy of this watches’s future I really do want it to do well. I want the Nell Newman charity to get maximum proceeds from the sale. I want Phillips Auctions and Aurel Bacs/Paul Boutros to make serious bank on this, too. But The hype around this watch will subside. The hype around all Paul Newman Daytonas will eventually die down and they’ll be “reasonably priced” and “attainable” as far as high-end vintage watches are concerned.  There are a lot of them.  I know they’ve been the watch for literally 30 years, but something will rise up and knock it off the iron throne.  Any guesses on what that something is?
