Shinola’s New Petoskey Stone Dial Watch Collection
I’ll admit it, I’m not a huge fan of Shinola. But this dial is madness. At 37mm, it works well with the patterns in the watches shown. The gold PVD looks great with the subdued yellows and browns in the stone.
It’s certainly not for me, but using locally-found fossilized rock to make dials to a very local-centric brand? That’s cool. Maybe there’s some exotic breed of cow they can source the strap leather from? Kidding, not kidding. The Petoskey stone is a unique fossilized rock found exclusively along the shores of Lake Michigan.
