Of Course We Need a Vantablack® Car

German automaker BMW painted one of their new X6s in Vantablack®.  You know… that paint artist Anish Kapoor controls the usage of. BOO. To be more clear, he had to give his blessing of the project.  Wrap your head around that, someone controls the usage of a color.   Anyhow, this paint absorbs 99.965 per cent of light hitting it.  Composed of nanotubes that just suck up light, this paint is much cooler than a matte black wrap.  It also probably makes the car undefinable on the road and therefore confusing and dangerous.  I’m sure it’ll never be part of a wide-spread release strategy, but it’s a very cool project nonetheless.…

Rally Rd. displays rare Diablo in NYC

Rally Rd., a company that allows you to invest in valuable, rare automobiles had a party over the weekend showing off their newest offering, a Lamborghini Diablo SE30 Jota. Seeing these cars in the wild is rare enough so to get to experience one up close where you can really admire it is a treat. With each new car that rolls into their storefront in Soho, Rally Rd. redo their interior design. This time it was all purple everything with roses decorating the walls and a few hundred dollar bills woven in. There was a claw game, a vintage video game cabinet, and some sort of video machine you can…

    Philipp Plein Ferrari

A while back I posted this exact Ferrari Testarossa on my instagram account. At the time the store was under construction and I wasn’t able to go in to get a closer look at the white 80s supercar. I was wondering by the same corner today and looked in to see the car still in the store. It was! This time it had a leopard print wrap on it. I went inside to check it out further. The guy working in the Philipp Plein store said he didn’t mind if I just took a couple pictures. I asked about the car. It doesn’t have the engine, due to city regulations,…

Aston Martin announced a nod to the 50th Anniversary of On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. This is the sixth James Bond film released in 1969. Same color, same maker, much higher performance. The same color, Olive Green will be used on all 50 of the edition. Also, this car might win for the best rims of the last 30 years. Pricing is around £300,007.00, shipping this fall. See Aston’s Press clipping here. The Fake Alligator Hot Take Look, folks. I love Aston Martin. Their restrained styling and unrestrained driving experience are amazing. The so bad it’s good color works. I don’t remember it being that color in the film, but…
